"Hey Knaw, I-
." The voice was gruff and instantly recognized has Knaw's protective older brother Scuttle. A long agonizing, torturing silence followed shortly after no doubt it was built from complete shock. Skeet couldn't help himself he turned to face the bringer of his death, has he did so he was met by Scuttle's frozen arrogant face, who still form remained in the doorway. Mr. Dennis stood behind Scuttle almost has shocked has Scuttle, but not quite the same.
"Hi Scuttle, do you think you could close the door now, we're kind of busy right now" Knaw said, shifting so that he was in his brothers line of sight which also exposed the blemishes on his once virgin neck. Those words alone sealed Skeet's fate.
"YOU!!!!!" Scuttle yelled pointing a finger at Skeet's crouched form over his baby brother, than in one fluid motion he took a crouching stance, fangs bared, and claws at the ready. In that moment he looked like the scariest most treating Hunter
Being alive and said being was about to rip his spine out his a$$.
"Run, Skeet" Mr. Dennis yelled helpfully, that was what snapped Skeet out of him momentary shock. He tore across the room to the nearby window and tried to pry it open desperately, because his life truly depended on it.
"I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!!" Scuttle yelled and pounced, Knaw yelled his protest but that wouldn't save Skeet. Skeet saw Scuttle's on coming attack through the reflective glass and ducked close to the floor; Scuttle drove by rage hit the window dead on. Skeet wasted no time in waiting; he tore out of the bedroom, down the stairs and out of the house has if there were a witch on his heels. (Point of advice if a witch is chasing you, don't ever stop running; parkour) Skeet grabbed his cell phone and dialed 911 has he ran, he hoped they could help or at least he could find a tank before Scuttle caught him.
The phone rang only once before it picked up, and was greeted by a mild "hello".
"HELP ME!!" Skeet screeched hearing the sound of Scuttle in hot pursuit behind him, he didn't dare look back only ran where ever his long legs were taking him.
"Okay, tell me where you are and what's wrong" It was a woman speaking but that didn't matter at the moment. He ducked down into a network of alley's, when he heard Scuttle dart past him, in wild animal mode at the time.
"I'm, uh, I think down town near the J.J Scoops store, headed toward the school; I'm being chased by a p@##$% off Hunter" Skeet explained taking a sharp turn into a left alley that would hopefully spit him out near the school; the muscles in his legs were beginning to tear, Crap.
"Stay calm sir, we are contacting the police in your area has we speak, can you run him towards the ice cream store, J.J Scoops?" she asked, a little urgency in her voice. He was breathing hard now but he agreed and kept her on the line.
"I'VE GOT YOU NOW PUNK!!!" Scuttle snarled, he sounded so close Skeet was sure he could feel his breath traveling down his back. Skeet took another sharp turn and found himself on the main street three blocks from safety, and the police were waiting, a hunter and a tank.
"Oh, home, sweet, home" Skeet said aloud, has relief washed over him, and winced when he felt a stabbing pain in his calf; the muscle was beginning to tear. Crap, not now, not now when he was so close to safety, now he knew how a human felt during the first zombie apocalypse.
"DON'T THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" Scuttle yelled, and then I heard a heart stopping grunt come from him he had pounced. Skeet let out a string of curses and continued to run deciding whether or not to run the risk of running into a busy two-way street or take on a p&%$#@ off hunter
.Street. Skeet dove after a white car has it passed by, out of the corner of his eye he saw Scuttle land in the spot he had fled from. Skeet jumped on the back of the car then watched has Scuttle prepared to pounce again but a long pink tongue encircled his form before he could even jump two feet off the ground. Skeet watched has Scuttle hit the ground and Mr. Dennis emerge from the shadows of the alley, throwing Skeet a thumbs up. Skeet felt relieved for only a moment until Scuttle bit Mr. Dennis's tongue off releasing himself from his now in pain captor.
The car stopped at that moment and Skeet jumped off it had carried him a block and a half that was all he needed, quickly jumping off the vehicle he continued to run toward the two police officers who still somehow didn't notice this whole incident at all. I ran a few short steps before I felt Scuttles claw's brush dangerously close to his back. Just one more block he thought desperately andAUGGHHH---Skeet collapsed, his left muscle torn leg gave out under him.
(quick ex. Zombies don't recover very quickly because of dead cell's which also causes less pain, if a muscle is torn it may never recover, this is rare among special breeds since they are stronger than common zombies)
Scuttle pounced over Skeet but slid to a stop and turned back to the now injured and weak smoker. Scuttle smiled evilly and stalked towards Skeet, smiling in triumph. Once he was close enough he yank Skeet's head up by his black hair so that they were eye to eye and said very coldly.
"Any last words" His voice dripped with malice, revenge, and pride; 'this is the end' Skeet thought, seeing the yellow bared teeth of his true loves vengeful brother.
"Yeah, back off my boyfriend." Skeet blinked and cried out when Scuttle's hand was knocked away by a smaller, thinner figure. Skeet hissed and folded his hands protectively over his skull, the person who had saved him was crouched over him on all fours, with the others head close to his own.
Scuttle easily got to his feet and glared at the other hunter, a growl rumbled from low in his throat, claw marks were seen slashing across one side of his face. "Get out of my way" Scuttle snarled shifting slightly to the left; I looked up at the hunter protecting me. He had a carnivorous protective aura, spit dripping down from his bared white, untainted fangs; not the kind he would ever cross or speak to.
"NO" The word came out like a snap, no change of mind, no regrets, nothing but the challenge before him.
"Why" It was a cry that raged from the distraught hunter known has Scuttle he was pacing around angrily but did not dare turn his back on the new hunter.
"For the same reason you put up with Mr. Dennis's attitude all the time" The remark came from the new hunter has if it were common understanding knowledge, Scuttle fell into silence but didn't seem to want to give up just yet. "But" Scuttle started but was silenced by the new hunter who merely waved his hand "No buts, I know how I feel and I don't need you to protect me from Skeet" the hunter said; Skeet felt even more confused 'what was going on'. Scuttle growled and replied "Fine I won't kill him but we're going to have this out at home" Scuttle said, caving under the hunter's wishes.
Said hunter stood and offered Skeet his hand, Skeet took it and rose unsteadily to his feet.
"Scuttle it seems you have caused this smoker physical damage you will have to take him to the hospital" the other hunter said, giving Skeet his supportive shoulder, Skeet took the offer.
"What? no way" Scuttle opposed, crossing his arms with a huff.
"And you will also pay for his muscle replacement" hunter continued has if he had never heard Scuttle's objection. 'Who was this guy' Skeet wondered in confusion and slight awe. Scuttle let out a loud FFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!, until Dennis walked up and told Scuttle it was the law, and Scuttle typically kicked over a nearby trash can, which a moment later resulted in his arrest for littering.
"How are you doing" the hunter asked, has they limped him towards a nearby safe house, until the ambulance could send for him.
"Fine" Skeet said monotonously before he realized what he had just done.
"That's nice to know" the hunter said, a playful grin playing across familiar lips, Skeet felt a bewilder look distort his face.
"KNAW" Skeet proclaimed, in disbelief; the hunter's face that had once been something to truly fear, that would scare a tank no less was actually the face of his beloved.
"That's me" Knaw said cheerfully, the freighting hunter that he had been melted under Knaw's sweet, innocent personality.
" Knaw I had never known you could be so
scary" Knaw admitted, it shocked him completely he almost wouldn't believe it if he hadn't seen it with his own eye.
"Huh, oh, my cousin Alex Mercer taught me that, he said I looked to innocent and told me to work on my 'Scary face'" Knaw explained, with a chuckle; Skeet couldn't help but smile now.
At least now he knew that Knaw could handle himself with his scary face. Skeet finally got what he wanted and so much more.
